Nine of our sixth form students took part in the finals of the European Youth Parliament competition in September.
The competition is an educational programme designed to bring together students from 40 countries in Europe, to discuss political issues in a parliamentary setting.
Students Charlie O, Richard C, Alfie H, Mia S, Todd O, Jasper T, Rosie L, Matt G and Luke J travelled with Head of History, Mr Harris, to Liverpool.
Richard said that, “We debated in the format of the European Parliament and at the end we got to go to a fancy dress party. It was great fun and we had to think on our feet.”
Mr Harris said that the trip was very successful and some students have been selected to follow up on their success by continuing in the next round.
