Two year 12 students have been presented with their Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.

Georgia S received her Bronze Award and George P achieved a Silver.

“I’m really glad that I have this,” said Georgia of her success. “I’m proud that my hard work has paid off!”

The award involves completing an expedition, as well as developing skills in sport and volunteering.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a charity that has been dedicated to helping young people “give it their all” since 1956. This year is the charity’s 60th anniversary and they are celebrating with a slogan calling for “everyone to give it their all in 2016”, with a special Diamond Challenge which is open to anyone of any age.
