Over the Easter holiday the school ski trip to Colorado took place from the 29 March to 6 April.  The Winter Park Resort trip has been taking place for a number of years now, always being well received and this year was no exception.

The Colyton group flew out from Heathrow to Denver on a 9 hour flight, with a coach journey to the resort to follow.  Perfect conditions for skiing pertained with wide slopes, powder and some enjoyable tree runs. Head boy, Will K, spoke of the Terrain Park being “especially enjoyable” as the group was able to try the ‘mega half pipe’ which was very exciting.

Students were able to ski around the seven territories of Winter Park with another highlight being The Cirque, at 12,000ft and skiing down on the double black diamond, a steep, challenging run.  Will said, “Being one of the eldest I loved helping out with activities and having a role of responsibility on such an enjoyable trip to an amazing part of the world.”

However it was not just the skiing that everyone enjoyed, but a variety of other activities including tubing races, film nights and being able to eat out at a different restaurant each night, with Smokin’ Moe’s being a clear favourite.

The trip was a huge success with a wide range of exciting activities being provided and many new experiences being tried, enabling the group to take away many fun memories.
