A group of year 11 students has visited the local children’s nursery – Colyton Caterpillars – to entertain and teach young children about various musical instruments.

Accompanied by music teacher Mrs Lester, the children were encouraged to have a go at playing violins, flutes and other instruments.

The session culminated with a group rendition of Disney film Frozen’s ‘Let it Go’, before the pre-school performed songs in Spanish and French.

“It was great fun to be involved and such a rewarding experience”, said Grace H (15), who plays the baritone horn.

“I look forward to helping out again soon!” she added.
