Three children from the same family, who all currently attend Colyton Grammar School, have had significant recent success in sport.
Billy R, in Year 12, who plays for Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club’s 1st men’s team, has reached the U18 Junior Regional Performance Centre Level. He is also working towards his Level 2 cricket coaching certificate, having previously captained the Devon U16s team, and played for the Devon U17s and Ottery St Mary’s 1st men’s team.
Emily R, in Year 10, also plays hockey for Sidmouth and Ottery and has reached U15 Junior Academy Level. She also plays U16 netball for Honiton and Sidmouth, and has been selected for the County Netball Academy. She has also recently achieved Grade 6 in ballet.
Following in the family tradition, Eddie R in Year 8 also plays hockey for Sidmouth and Ottery, and has reached U14 Junior Academy Level. He has also played for the Devon U13s cricket team as wicket keeper, and for Ottery St Mary U12s, U13s, and U14s, winning the batting cup in the U12s team.
Billy said, “We really enjoy our sport!”
