General Election - May 2015 (1)

Student ambassadors for Politics and History organised a mock general election at school during election week.

There was a turnout of 73% among the students, who could vote throughout the day in the polling station in the school library.

Year 11 student Todd O, who stood as a candidate, said, “It provided a great opportunity for those looking to be engaged in politics.”

Organisers were surprised to find that the turnout was higher than that of the real election.
