Axe Invasives Himalayan Balsam Clearance 2015
The project is appealing to everyone whether they are 8 or 80 to find some time to tackle the ever increasing problem of the spread of Himalayan Balsam in the Axe Valley, East Devon and surrounding streams in June, July and August 2015.
The project takes people into the beautiful countryside of the valley where wildlife is still abundant and explores places not usually accessible to the public. The work is not heavy and requires no tools, just gloves and wellies and is a fun way to maintain fitness and meet new people.
The days run from 10.00am to 3.30pm and can also be a fun way for students or those looking for work to get some volunteer experience for their CV whilst knowing that they are making a difference to their local environment.
If your organisation can help by getting a group together to come out and help us please contact me at email@example.com or call 01395 512536 or 07905418460 and connect with the project on twitter and facebook.
