Colyton Grammar School students have had great success in Round One of the British Biology Olympiad, which “challenges and stimulates students with an interest in Biology to expand and extend their talents.”

An outstanding set of results was achieved this year, with six students awarded a Gold, 12 awarded a Silver, and seven achieving a Bronze award.

Students who achieve a Gold award are in the top 7% of biologists nationally.

One student, Manal P, succeeded in advancing to the next round, which selects students to take part in the International Biology Olympiad.

2015 has been “undoubtedly the best year of results”, said Head of Biology, Mr Smith.
