Year 12 student, Alice B, has recently been awarded the prestigious ‘Gold’ Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, following completion of all five sections of the programme.
Alice said the social aspect of the award was the most enjoyable part, having completed her volunteering section with a local children’s orchestra.
She described the overall ‘D of E experience’ as “thoroughly enjoyable.”
As part of the award, Alice completed activities such as organ-playing and a four-day expedition.
Alice will receive her award at a special presentation at St James’s Palace, London
